Okay, so, there’s this neat little update Nintendo just dropped for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom—yeah, that game we all can’t stop playing. We’re talking version 1.4.2, for those keeping score.
First off, they tackled some hiccups with Zelda Notes, which you mess with through the Nintendo Switch Online app. And can we talk about using it on the Switch 2? No idea why that sticks out, but, you know, here we are.
Get this, if you had maxed out your hearts, you might’ve noticed the Daily Bonus perks like “Health Recovery” or “Hearty Meal” weren’t playing nice. Maybe intentional? Or just them pulling a classic prank on us. Anyway, they fixed it, so there’s that.
Something else worth noting—or probably not—is there were these oddities, little zingers really, tied to ZELDA NOTES. Quite the mystery they were, now sorted though.
Oh, and a quick heads up, you’ll need the latest data to access the new ZELDA NOTES stuff. I mean, makes sense, right?
As for the soundtrack—bet you didn’t expect a music lesson—a bug was messing up the music in battles. Not sure who dropped the ball there, but it’s fixed now, so your epic clashes will sound as grand as intended.
Tons of other tweaks flew under the radar, but they all supposedly make the game better. Who knew? It’s those tiny things, sometimes, that make all the difference.
And there you have it—maybe not the overhaul of the century, but, hey, it’s something. Go on, keep saving Hyrule!
