Man, Delta Force decided to shake things up big time with this update they’re calling Double Beats. Why that name? No clue. Maybe the devs were vibing to some tunes while coding. Anyway, this is part of their Break season, which means new stuff, right? Skins, events, balance tweaks—you name it.
So, Delta Force, remember that game from ’98? Yeah, total flashback to those days when we all wanted to be some sort of elite commando. TiMi Studios seems to think it’s time for a comeback. They’re dragging this military classic into 2024, with some new game modes and even a Black Hawk Down reenactment. Throwback much?
They rolled out this mid-season update on August 8th. And hey, they’ve partnered with Alan Walker, you know, that DJ guy. I didn’t get it at first either. But music must be important to operators, I guess? They’ve got these bundles—Fur Trapper, Order Up, and Alternating Current. Gotta say, the names sound cooler than what I have in my fridge. You can get these bad boys for free if you grind the missions. And double rewards till August 14? Sweet deal.
Also, aircrates everywhere! Until August 21, these things drop Treasure Maps, which lead to collectibles or something. Reminds me of those pirate games, but now everyone’s a soldier. Fun twist.
Oh, and more Alan Walker events where you can squad up for puzzle pieces. I don’t know about you, but I can’t imagine spray paints tying into elite military operations. Yet, here we are. Collect enough paints, and you unlock stuff like the assault rifle KC17. Guns and art, who would’ve thought?
Now, PC players are hogging all this fun for now, but consoles are set to join the party on August 19. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S folks will finally get to see what the fuss is about—plus, the Black Hawk Down campaign is right there on day one. Inspired by that Ridley Scott movie, diving into a virtual version of the Battle of Mogadishu sounds intense.
Let’s look at the update patch notes (bet you can’t see me winking here):
– Alan Walker Collab Event is live till September 20. Three shiny legendary bundles await.
– The Double Beats Challenge runs until August 21. Hop in with friends, and boom, rewards everywhere.
– Don’t miss the Double Beats Supplies from August 8-14 for extra bonuses. (Why do these things always sound like energy drinks?)
– For those into cutesy stuff, the Shiba Feichai Collab is your jam until August 21.
Also, there are numerous weapon and operator adjustments, but let’s be real, that stuff is often more confusing than enlightening unless you’re neck-deep in the game. The gist? Some guns hit harder, some operators got nerfed. Such is life in the Delta Force world.
There you have it—Delta Force breaking ground with tunes, treasure hunts, and military campaigns. Who knew gaming would become this mixed bag of everything fun and shiny? Happy hunting!
