Alright, here goes nothing. So, Crimson Desert. Ever heard of it? Probably not unless you’re really into medieval RPGs, I guess. Anyway, this game keeps pulling a disappearing act on us — announced way back in 2019. And here we are, still hanging tight for it. Delay after delay. It’s almost like they want us to suffer, right?
First, it was supposed to partner up with Black Desert Online as some kind of prequel, then bam! Out of nowhere — it shifts to a single-player RPG. Yeah, that happened. And let’s not ignore how they keep comparing it to Dragon’s Dogma, which is decent hype if you’ll ask me (not that you did). With all these changes, surprise, surprise: more delays. Why do developers love doing this? Seriously, why?
Oh, and have I got news for you. I hope you weren’t planning your life around its 2025 release — because scratch that. Move over, it’s now Q1 2026. Yep, I said it. Yeesh! You’d think they would have planned this better. Something about voice-overs and console certifications just dragging along like a cat that’s been asked to take a bath.
So, during the last earnings call — or was it a tweet? Nope, definitely a call. Pearl Abyss spilled some dirty truth: teaming up with partners is complicated, who would’ve thought? It’s like everyone’s got their own schedule to worry about. Oh, wait—releasing this year? Not a chance, friends! Forget November 2nd, too. Totally off the table.
Now, a little sliver of hope to cling to — if you’re desperate. August 2025, Gamescom — yup, a demo! Maybe it’s just me, but it sounds like they’re stalling, yet again. I don’t know. Let’s hope it’s polished; fingers crossed here. Could this finally be the light at the end of the tunnel? Maybe. Or it’s just another shade of ‘coming soon.’
