Hey there! So, guess what? We finally got the deets on Title Update 2 for Monster Hunter Wilds. Capcom decided to spill all the juicy bits during their June Spotlight livestream. And let me tell you, there’s a lot to unravel.
First off, mark your calendars or maybe don’t—I keep forgetting dates myself—it hits on Monday, June 30. But, heads up, there’s gonna be some maintenance downtime right before. Might be a good excuse to take a snack break, y’know?
The real kicker here is the monsters. We’re talking Lagiacrus and Seregios! I’m not sure why this excited me so much, but it did. Lagiacrus is bringing underwater combat. Yep, you heard that right. You might find yourself floundering—literally—without easy weapon access. To even think about taking it on, you need to complete the A World Turned Upside Down mission and have done the Forest Doshaguma side mission. Got your Hunter Rank at 31 or up? Good, you’re set.
Oh, Seregios is knocking at that same door, needing that mission done too. Cool new armor sets for you and your Palico, anyone? And if you’re really geared up, Tempered versions of these beasties await at HR 41.
We also have the super special Arch-tempered Uth Duna, but that’s playing hard to get until July 30 through an Event Quest. You need to be HR 50 or higher. This one’s not for the faint of heart, or the unprepared.
Now, about crafting—Title Update 2 is letting us play dress-up with layered weapons. Basically, make your weapon look like another, without losing those sweet stats. Especially handy if, like me, you have picky weapon fashion sense. But heads up, to do this, your weapon’s gotta be a Rarity 8 and all reinforced up.
And then, small changes—change your handler to Erik if Alma’s getting on your nerves. Plus, there’s a new support hunter with Sword & Shield. Fun times, right?
Hold on, because in late July, TU2 kicks off the Festival of Accord: Flamefete. Think new armor, decor, and even fancy meals at the cantina. Runs from July 23 to August 6. The Grand Hub’s getting all dressed for the occasion.
Oh! Almost forgot, Title Update 3’s coming in September with more surprises and another Festival of Accord. These updates are practically back-to-back.
So, what’s the buzz? Despite all this, Wilds had some rough patches—player numbers dropping and a not-so-sweet rating on Steam. Can TU2 turn the tide? Maybe. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
