I remember when the first Nintendo Switch launched. I was, like, caught up in all the excitement — probably spilled my coffee everywhere in my rush to get online. And now? Switch 2 is here. Did you get yours? If you didn’t pre-order back in April, you might be, well, kinda out of luck. This thing’s popular, really popular. Maybe like trying to find a unicorn in a haystack. Or something.
Okay, so the Switch 2 — it’s bigger. Literally. Bigger Joy-Cons, bigger everything. Not just an upsize, though. It’s got a new dock (which sounds fancier than it maybe is) and a redesigned kickstand, which is cool, I guess.
Let’s talk screens — the thing has a 7.9-inch, 1080p screen. And to think my TV back in the day wasn’t even that clear. With the dock, games might hit 4K. That’s seriously sharp. Without the dock, we’re talking 120 frames per second — whatever that means to you — plus HDR, if the software cooperates. Not bad, right?
Oh, and you can find the console in bundles — Mario Kart or some other add-ons — if that’s your thing. Keep an eye on updates for prices and stock. Who knows? Maybe stores will surprise us.
And if you’re in the US, there’s a bunch of places you can scour for this gem. Walmart, GameStop, Newegg, Best Buy, Target… usual suspects. Good luck hunting one down. It’s like a game in itself, really.
