This past week witnessed a significant leap in the quest for Xbox’s multiplatform dominance, as Forza Horizon 5 made its debut on PlayStation for the first time in the franchise’s history.
From a technical standpoint, this move has been nothing short of a triumph, with Xbox now offering an enhanced console experience on the PS5 Pro compared to its own Series X. No matter how you might feel about losing Xbox console exclusivity, this approach seems here to stay. Xbox remains committed to bringing great games to a wider audience, whether through its own hardware, via Steam and Battle.net on PC, through the cloud, or by embracing PlayStation and Nintendo formats.
In an ideal scenario, this cooperation would be mutual, with Sony bringing some of its games to Xbox. Although PlayStation games have started to make their way to PC, the Xbox console hasn’t seen much action in this regard, except for MLB: The Show.
So, in this perfect universe, what PlayStation titles would you love to see on Xbox? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Personally, there are some clear favorites for me.
Having enjoyed Spider-Man on PC and PlayStation, I’d jump at the chance to play them again if they came to Xbox. The Spider-Man Remastered, Spider-Man Miles Morales, and Spider-Man 2 titles would be absolutely thrilling additions to the Xbox Series X|S lineup. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the franchise across different platforms and wouldn’t hesitate to dive back in if they became available on Xbox. The first Spider-Man game still holds a special place in my list of all-time favorites.
On top of that, I’d be thrilled to see Days Gone make its way to Xbox. I own it on PC and have played a bit of it. I believe it would be a standout on Xbox, as it’s distinct enough from State of Decay to hold its ground and is, in my opinion, an underrated gem.
I might even give Gran Turismo 7 a shot, though my heart will probably always lean towards the Forza Motorsport series.
