SNK has rolled out the 1.1.3 patch for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves to rectify several bugs and improve the overall gaming experience. Players can now download this update, which comes for the eagerly anticipated installment in the enduring fighting series.
Fatal Fury, a classic franchise renowned for its influence alongside titans like Street Fighter, has finally graced fans with a new installment after more than two decades. With its unique characters and innovative gameplay, the series has become a staple in the fighting game genre. The latest entry, City of the Wolves, hit the shelves on April 24, and is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The recent patch is aimed at polishing some elements of the game further.
One of the standout figures of Fatal Fury, Terry Bogard, received several updates. A notable fix addresses a glitch where the Cosmic Strike Geyser wouldn’t deplete the power gauge in both Arcade and Smart Style modes. Moreover, the Burning Wave move in Arcade Style now aligns with the original costume’s properties.
Marco Rodriguez, another familiar face, saw refinements in Arcade Style, such as restrictions on his ability to cancel into a Far Heavy Kick (Feint) during a Combination Attack. Meanwhile, Salvatore Ganacci’s Magical Step had its cancellation timing altered, and the Fight Dirty move now correctly immobilizes opponents as intended in both Arcade and Smart Styles.
The developers are aware of a few unresolved issues, like guard cancels causing freezes, inaccuracies in replays, and sporadic crashes. They’re actively working to solve these problems. Players are encouraged to update their game from the home menu and provide feedback. Despite some quirks, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves has been well-received, and fans are eager for the fresh content coming in mid-2025 with solo adventure Episodes of South Town.
