Man, guess what? FromSoftware’s finally spilling the beans on that Duo Expeditions thing in Elden Ring Nightreign. Yeah, it’s a fancy way of saying two-player co-op is gonna be a thing. They had solo play up and running pretty quick after launch, but for co-op? Three players only till now. Why the wait for two-player co-op? Beats me. Maybe they got sidetracked, or maybe it’s a strategy. Whatever.
So, this major update, with patch 1.02 for Nightreign, is dropping this Wednesday, July 30. Get hyped, I guess? Duo Expeditions is the big deal, sure, but there’s more in the pipeline. They’re slipping in some quality-of-life tweaks, which is always nice. I mean, they even called out this one thing about Relic filtering. More options to sort through your Relic stash—thankfully! It’s been like sifting through a messy attic.
And hey, Nightreign’s doing pretty well—5 million units sold now, or so they say. Not that I’m surprised; it’s a killer game.
Oh, and about the release timing? Kind of perfect. It’s landing the day before Everdark Sovereign cycle kicks off again. More Nightlords! Tricephalos, Augur, Equilibrious Beast, and Fissure in the Fog are getting those enhancements. Sweet lineup, if you ask me.
Recently, we’ve had Everdark Sovereign show just how gnarly bosses like Gaping Jaws, Darkdrift Knight, and Sentient Pest can be. If you missed out on that chaos, don’t worry. We’ve tossed together some sort of guide on all the map events in Nightreign with their goodies. Seems like everyone’s got their fingers in this pie. But hey, it’s worth the hype, maybe. Or maybe not. Who knows?
Anyway—wait, what was I saying? Oh yeah, updates. Can’t wait to see how it all unfolds. Or maybe I can wait. It’s all a blur sometimes, you know?
