Oh wow, so apparently Wadjet Eye Games finally decided when they’re dropping this new point-and-click thing, Old Skies, on Nintendo Switch. Doesn’t it feel like time travel should have its own category in games? Yeah, well, here you play as Fia Quinn. She’s like, this time agent person working for something called ChronoZen. Cool name, right? She’s basically babysitting these seven people who are rich enough to go peeking into the past.
Some folks are probably just nosy, but others—who knows?—maybe they left a sock back in 1935 and absolutely gotta go fetch it. Your gig is to make sure they’re enjoying their cosmic nostalgia tour without messing up the timeline. No pressure!
They laid out some features, like:
Seven different time zones to poke around in, from sneaky Prohibition bars (bet they have sticky floors) to those Gilded Age gangs. Oh, and there’s that absolutely normal morning of September 11th.
And check this: high-res graphics at 1920 x 1080! Pretty pictures obviously mean more fun. Or do they?
Then there’s a boatload of puzzles that will probably leave you scratching your head, coz time travel puzzles aren’t confusing at all.
You can die. Yep, in a game about time travel, dying is just a minor inconvenience. Who knew?
Music by Thomas Regin—no disrespect, but I am more of a vinyl crackle kind of person.
Plus, they’ve got full voice acting, with the biggest cast ever. So no reading subtitles for hours. Yay?
Drop date’s set for 27 May 2025 on the Nintendo eShop. This means everyone can finally start obsessively counting down the days. Anyway, that’s the scoop. Feels like we all could use a time-travel pass, don’t you think?
Hmmm… was there a trailer? Does it even matter when you’re lost in thought about history and pixely adventures? Yeah, that’s pretty much it.
