Respawn put out this update for Apex Legends, did you see it? Some tweaked weapons and stuff, if you’re into that. I mean, sure, the big midseason smash-up in Season 25 was all about characters and gear, but hey, these smaller tweaks keep the game from going stale—or at least that’s what they say.
Not gonna lie, Apex isn’t as crowded as it was when it first hit the scene, but it still pulls in a massive crowd—like, over 100,000 people playing away on Steam daily. I mean, that number’s not too shabby, right? So Respawn’s fussing with guns to keep things spicy in the meta.
Got this new update, and they’re messing with the Devotion and EVA-8. Remember that LMG? They scrapped the high-tier barrels and stocks thing, trimmed the mag capacity from 52 to 48. I’m guessing the idea was to make it less overpowering. Also, that EVA-8? Yeah, damage per pellet’s up from six to seven, but the fire rate took a dive. And those purple and gold bolts? Now they’re syncing up with other shotguns. Kinda makes you wonder if they’re just winging it.
Oh, and don’t forget the Duels mode. Player highlighting only hangs around during countdowns now—who knew that was a thing? Faster pacing with duels, or so they say. Feels like Respawn’s in a bit of a “throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks” mood, but maybe that’s just me.
Even with all the changes, folks are still griping about the Devotion. Some say it’s where it needs to be now, some think it’s still a beast. Weird, right? But remember, they did shake it up at Season 25’s start. Honestly, it was a bit sluggish back then, so maybe these tweaks will balance it out, who knows?
