Bloober Team’s always been into making these visually-stunning horror games—really they are. But if you’re more into action, their past stuff didn’t quite hit that spot, except maybe the Silent Hill 2 Remake. Anyway, Cronos: The New Dawn is kinda changing the game. Especially for those of us who love Bloober’s vibe but prefer a bit more combat over just running away from creepy things.
So, Cronos has been the big buzz in the action-horror scene since it dropped on us. Got this weird combat twist, looked like Dead Space at first glance, but man, it’s got layers. Like, enemies can merge right in front of you, turning super tricky mid-fight. It’s like, “Hey, don’t relax just yet!”
And there’s this wild part where dead bodies get absorbed by enemies, giving them more health and even new moves. It’s like they’re leveling up with your misery. So, yeah, you better think twice about where you decide to face them.
It’s all just this weird, tactical dance. You’re also dealing with limited resources, so don’t think you can just Hulk-smash through everything.
So, chatted with the game’s directors earlier, right? They were like, “Yeah, we want more action but still keep those horror vibes.” Kinda makes you wonder how they’ll blend it all, doesn’t it?
Still no exact release date, but they’re saying it’s coming this fall for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. So, keep your eyes peeled.
