So, Square Enix is doing the thing again! They said Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is gonna hit the Nintendo Switch 2. Wait, let me backtrack. Did anyone else think that Switch 2 sounds like a futuristic toaster? No? Just me? Anyway, they’re aiming for Winter 2025. My calendar doesn’t even go that far—who plans that far ahead? I can barely plan my dinner.
Okay, so Cloud Strife—this ex-SOLDIER guy with the hair you could literally cut bread with—is joining this group called Avalanche. Which, by the way, sounds like a Ski team. They’re up against the big bad Shinra Electric Power Company. Typical evil corporation stuff. Honestly, Shinra sounds like one of those shady oil companies. They’re all about draining the planet’s energy, like that’s sustainable.
Oh, but there’s more! Intergrade comes with an extra storyline. Hello, Yuffie Kisaragi! She’s from Wutai and sneaks into Midgar. A ninja, I tell you. Midgar—sounds like it should be the name of an IKEA shelf, but it’s not. It’s where all the action happens. Somehow this place is both futuristic and gritty. Go figure.
And get this, they sold over seven million copies. That’s like… a lot of people. Think about it, what if we all played at once? Nah, forget it, that’d probably break something—like the internet.
So, in a world where everyone and their cat’s on social media sharing trailers, they had to throw one in here too. If you get a chance to watch it, do it. If not, well, maybe imagine it in your head? With, like, the dramatic music and stuff. That vibe.
