Hey, guess what? Big Pikachu had way too much to chat about, and honestly, why am I even surprised by that?
So, they’ve got all these announcements, right? Z-A details, a huge Pokemon Go shindig, yada yada. But get this — there’s this game called “Pokemon Friends” that pops up outta nowhere on the iOS App Store before it was supposed to. Oops, right? A little premature excitement, maybe. Anyway, you also get it on Switch and Android now. Basically, you’re solving puzzles to make Pokemon plush toys. Feels like something I’d do to procrastinate. Oh, and they’re throwing more puzzles at you if you throw money at them. Typical. Price tag says US$9.99. Sounds reasonable?
Moving on, they talked about the 2025 World Champs — big deal in August. “Championship Sunday” lands in Anaheim at the Honda Center. Ducks fans know it well. I think it used to be called Arrowhead Pond? Or am I dreaming that?
Now, Netflix picked up Pokemon Concierge for another run starting September 4. Plus, there’s some Aardman series lined up for 2027. Those folks behind Shawn the Sheep and Wallace & Gromit — seriously, such a quirky combo with Pokemon. Can’t even imagine.
And — wait for it — they’re opening PokePark Kanto in Tokyo in 2026. Must be for Pokemon’s 30th anniversary. They’ve got events left and right too. Like Pokemon Masters EX is getting Carmine on July 30. Cafe Remix going all ocean-themed, with Lapras and Totodile showing up in outfits. I love that silly stuff.
Oh, and don’t forget — Latias is crashing into Pokemon Unite on August 8. Plus an “Electrode Volleyball” mode. Because why not, right?
And the trading card game is throwing Mega Evolution cards at us again. Surprise, surprise — they’re already sold out. Call it buzz or chaos.
Let’s not skip the raid battles in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Starting tomorrow, and get this — you gotta beat “Treasures of Ruin” legendaries like a zillion times to unlock shiny versions for everyone. No pressure. Mass Outbreaks are happening too — themed and everything.
Lastly, Pokemon Champions. You’re gonna rent Pokemon if that’s your jam. They’ll also let you tweak a Pokemon’s effort values and nature in the 2026 release. Sounds handy to me, if I remember or care by then.
Okay, I think I’ve covered it all. Or did I miss something? No clue. Anyway, carry on.
