Alright, here goes nothing. So, it’s 2025 halfway over, I mean, what? Where did the time go? World’s Edge and the Age of Empires dudes have been super busy, like, tons of stuff happening. And yeah, let’s just dive into the chaos because why not?
First off, 65 million players! Yeah, that’s a big number—I can’t even count that high. It’s not just digits; it’s all about gamers around the world coming together. Whether you’re off fighting battles in Age of Empires IV or just chillin’ with Age of Mythology, you’re pretty much legendary now.
And guess what? We’ve had a bunch of crazy expansions. There’s this whole Chinese pantheon thingy in Immortal Pillars—don’t ask me what that means, but it sounds epic. Knights of Cross and Rose? It’s got medieval vibes with Knights Templar and stuff. Meanwhile, over in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, The Three Kingdoms brought in, like, a zillion new civilizations. I mean, who knew history could be so confusing, right?
Plus, we’re hitting up PS5, too. So if consoles are your jam, you’re in luck. I swear, sometimes I forget there are so many platforms now—feels like toys for grown-ups.
Oh, oh, and here’s something wild: We teamed up with the Louvre in Paris. Yeah, the museum. We made magic happen or something—I think it involved medieval Mamluks? Anyway, it’s all about bringing history to life (or something deep like that).
And speaking of bringing things to life, there’s a new expansion dropping soon! It’s called Heavenly Spear (dramatic much?) and it’s diving into Japanese mythology. They’re doing a discount for pre-orders—15% off if you jump in now. Who knew pre-ordering could save you some dollars?
For those into screenshots and promo pics, there are heroes and villains — I didn’t know if I was looking at gameplay or an art gallery. Worth checking out, if you’re into that stuff.
Oh, Gamescom’s happening! If you somehow manage to teleport there, you can play some of these new games. There’s an actual booth with, like, all the Age goodies.
Oh yeah, Age of Empires II keeps growing—crazy big update in April, blah blah blah. Fastest selling expansion ever? The Three Kingdoms, apparently. Sorry if I seem skeptical; I just haven’t gotten over “fastest selling” stuff yet.
And let’s not forget Age of Empires IV — more battles, more content, coming in Fall 2025. We’ve got new game modes and probably some surprises. They’re teasing something big for a Cologne event—stay tuned but don’t hold your breath.
In the last twist, Age of Empires Mobile is heading to PC. Doesn’t it feel like everything goes back to PC eventually? Anyway, Gamescom visitors are the lucky ducks getting to try it first. No pressure.
And yeah, esports are alive and kickin’. People are winning big in tournaments, which sounds like a dream honestly. There’s been heaps of prize money dished out—more gaming events on the horizon, it seems. Who’s the champ, you ask? Hera, Beasty, and TheMista, just to name a few. Props to everyone who puts these tournaments together.
Okay, enough rambling. We’ll have more in the second half of the year, so if your brain isn’t fried yet, stay connected. Keep sending your feedback—they really care, apparently.
Wololo! (Don’t ask, just roll with it.)
