Off the back of this whole Silent Hill thing blowing up all over again—seriously, did anyone see the Silent Hill 2 Remake actually being good? I didn’t. But there it is, surprise surprise. So, Konami’s back at it with Bloober Team on another round. Yep, they’re tackling the OG Silent Hill from 1999. No clue when it’ll drop; it’s the usual “in development” spiel with squat for details beyond that.
Okay, hang on a sec. Let me sidetrack. There was some weird thing on the site about cookies or whatever. Anyway, back to the point. This announcement? Not exactly earth-shattering. Bloober Team hinted at more collabs with Konami after Silent Hill 2 rocked. Kinda makes you think they’d pull the same trick with Silent Hill and maybe even Silent Hill 3.
Man, Bloober really nailed it with SH2. If they didn’t get the nod to do more classics, it’d be… well, just dumb. Seriously.
Silent Hill fans, get ready to stumble back into all that foggy, spooky goodness. This time, we’re talking Harry Mason, single dad vibes. Poor guy’s trying to take his adopted daughter on a chill vacation after, you know, his wife passed away. Sounds nice, right? Except, bam, car crash, and poof, daughter gone.
Side note: Are all Silent Hill stories starting to blur together, or is that just me? Harry’s hunt to find his daughter is a twisted road trip through a freaky town full of monsters and oddballs. Like, sure, sounds kinda like SH2 again, but trust me, there’s more to this one. I won’t spill the beans for first-timers, though. Wouldn’t wanna mess up the surprise.
So now Bloober’s tasked with pulling off another miracle. I mean, no pressure, right? But since they crushed it with SH2, I’ve gotta admit, I’m feeling pretty optimistic. You feeling the same, or what?
