Alright, so here’s my take on this, and I’ll try to be, you know, all over the place — in a good way. Here we go:
So, like, it’s been what? Almost four years? Yeah, four. And we’ve been chilling in Master Chief’s boots, battling those Banished dudes on Zeta Halo. It’s like — where’s the follow-up, right? But hold up, twist alert! The sequel’s not what you think. Nope, not a game. But a book. Yeah, you read that right.
Enter “Halo: The Edge of Dawn.” Kelly Gay, the brain behind a bunch of Halo stuff, is back. So, this book, first whispered about in January (and I kinda forgot until now — oops), finally got some spotlight. Found out from a blog post, kinda random day to scroll and bump into that, right?
So, the gist? It picks up where Halo Infinite, the game, left off. Master Chief is still on a mission, doing his thing on Zeta Halo with his AI buddy and good old Fernando, the pilot. It’s a whole saga. Love it when planets align in stories like these. Side note: I always think of AI buddies like a super-sassy Siri.
Then there’s this medic, super mysterious, held by the Banished. Maybe he’s got secrets—like you’d hold the key to some cosmic mystery or whatever. And there’s Jega ‘Rdomnai! This elusive, vengeful guy with a blade. Like, what’s his problem, seriously?
Oh, random thought — the book cover! Cool art from Chris McGrath, very dramatic. Chief’s there, with The Weapon, and Jega’s in the backdrop. Energy swords ready — classic! Should be its own art piece hanging somewhere.
Now, for you Halo fans out there fretting, fear not! You won’t be left in the dark about the next game if you skip this read. But if you wanna indulge in Halo lore, it’s coming out December 16, 2025—mark your calendars, people! And yeah, maybe read “The Rubicon Protocol” and replay Halo Infinite (Game Pass, anyone?) to get in the zone.
And there’s this buzz—Phil Spencer says a new game’s coming for Xbox’s 25th anniversary. Whether it’s a Halo remake or something fresh, who knows? Keep an eye out, I guess.
Anyway, to all Xbox nerds, a reminder: preorders for “Halo: The Edge of Dawn” are up. Got a Kindle? It’s $13.99. Prefer a real book? $19, not bad. Who knew reading could be so thrilling, huh?
That’s it. My brain dump—mostly coherent, I think! Happy reading, gamers. 📚👾
